Effective noon on August 17, 2016, the Coastal Fire Centre will be prohibiting campfires in all areas of the Coastal Fire Centre with the exception of Haida Gwaii and the area known as the “Fog Zone”. As a result, campfires including beach fires will be prohibited in the City of Campbell River. This ban applies to all recreational fires, including campfires on private lands.
