As the importance of water quality and the available technology to monitor and safeguard it have advanced, the City has added layers of protection to the system and increased monitoring efforts to ensure these barriers are effective. Recent regulations and increased public expectations of high water quality create the need for continual assessment of our water system and monitoring program to ensure we are meeting these new standards and expectations.

Mission Statement

It is the goal of the Campbell River Water System to consistently meet community expectations for cost effective and sustainable delivery of safe, adequate, secure, reliable and aesthetically pleasing potable water.

Current Projects

The City has, and continues to, conduct comprehensive assessments of our water system including; Water Supply Studies, Water Quality Studies, Water System Risk Assessments and Watershed Management Studies. The purpose of these studies was to create a plan for upgrading and improving in all areas of our water system. Details are available in the City's Annual Water Report.
