The Community Spirit Award, one of the Campbell River Chamber of Commerce Business of Distinction Awards, sponsored by the City of Campbell River, recognizes a business that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to developing, nurturing and enhancing community spirit through its actions; and proving its commitment to sustained and continuous community betterment and stewardship.

This commitment may be evident by a business’s sponsorship of community local interest groups, sporting teams, festivals or events, and cultural or social initiatives.

The business could also celebrate Campbell River by providing mentorship and leadership, beautifying its business façade, encouraging community pride amongst its staff members or promoting us as a community.

The theme for 2015 is “Think Local”.
