    Feb. 20 proclaimed Coldest Night of the Year

    Council received a request from the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society to continue support for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. This year, participants will form teams and raise funds in a virtual event. More details at cnoy.org.

    The city’s proclamation notes that homelessness affects people of all ages – adults, children families and elderly and that finding appropriate housing is extremely difficult when combined with poverty, addiction and mental health issues. Read more...
