    New volunteer appointed to Tourism Advisory Committee - News Release

    A new volunteer has joined the City of Campbell River’s Tourism Advisory Committee.

    City Council appointed Laurel Cronk to a two-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2022, and ending Dec. 31, 2024.

    The Tourism Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to Council to deliver the community’s tourism vision and make Campbell River a destination of choice.

    “Council welcomes Laurel Cronk to the Tourism Advisory Committee. We appreciate the contributions of everyone who volunteers on the committee,” says Mayor Andy Adams. “Committee members generously share their time, experience and expertise to enhance committee discussions, and we value their input and recommendations.”

    “Tourism Advisory Committee members focus on destination marketing, visitor services and destination development for the Campbell River area,” adds Rose Klukas, the City’s manager of economic development. “Their thoughtful recommendations help support our local tourism industry and contribute to meaningful, positive visitor experiences.”
