Community Energy and Emissions Plan - Public Input
The City of Campbell River is looking for the public’s input on the draft of the revised Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP) before it goes to Council this fall. The new CEEP has already been endorsed by the City’s Advisory Environment and Planning Commission (APEC).
Campbell River spends approximately $110 million per year on energy. With rising energy prices, this cost could almost double in a decade. Reducing energy usage will not only reduce this cost, but also help to reduce GHG emissions. This will help increase energy security while encouraging funds to remain within the community, making Campbell River a more economically viable and livable community that will be more resilient to climate change.
